You simply pay attention, listen and remember when someone asks for your help, literally calling for your gifts to be exercised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My kids ask, \u201cWhen is dinner ready?\u201d That reveals my calling to feed my kids. Taking care of the basic necessities of life for me and my dependents is my calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When friends ask, \u201cCan you please help \u2026?\u201d that could be a recognition of some gift that is being called into service; or it could be that you are available. Ask yourself, \u201cCan someone else do this, perhaps better than me?\u201d If the answer is yes, you may have been asked because the other person is not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes you notice an unmet need. No one else seems to see it or care about it. So even though you may not be particularly gifted in that area, you decide to do something about it. That too reveals a calling, one that comes from within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some other questions and comments behind which a calling may hide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Could you please consider serving in\/as\u2026?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We need a \u2026 and we think you are the best person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are a good \u2026 Perhaps you can join us in \u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have you ever tried \u2026 I think you will be good at it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What do you do for a living? You strike me as a \u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You should get certified as a \u2026 You are a natural at it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>List you callings. Start with the most mundane ones. Include those you don\u2019t feel gifted in.
